-for children and adults-
Nourish and awaken your nervous system. Feel better. Think better. Connect better with others and the world around you.
The Safety and Sound Health Protocol (PES) is a non-invasive application of the Polyvagal Theory, based on decades of research and development by Dr. Stephen Porges, Chief Scientific Adviser at Unyte. Polyvagal Theory gives us an understanding of how, depending on the state of our Autonomic Nervous System through three pathways in the Parasympathetic or Sympathetic state, we have access to a connection with others and the world around us, or we are in a state of defense – fight / flight or freeze freeze. When we are in a parasympathetic state, our body is able to recover and rest, and we have access to our system of social engagement. This condition is available to the nervous system only when we feel safe and secure. People who have experienced traumatic moments in their lives may lose the flexibility of the nervous system and its ability to return to a state of rest and relaxation after experiencing activation or stress while remaining in a state of defense even though the threat has passed.
What and how you hear it affects your body’s response and the state of the nervous system.
Listening is related to a nerve called the Vagus, which is the body’s internal control center that processes and responds to tasks and signals from the world around us and assesses whether we are in a safe environment or not. PSZ uses specially filtered music to train the listening neural network to help it focus on the frequency range of the human voice and help it turn off protection.
We watch, talk and listen with the same part of the nervous system. When the voice changes, the body responds. As we learn how to focus the sound frequencies of human speech through the PES program, the Vagus nerve is stimulated and so a state of security and calm becomes available to us.
Specially reworked music recordings are part of the PES program and they all “prepare” the nervous system by exposing it to different frequencies. Listening to such playlists, using special headphones that cover the ear, helps the nervous system to achieve a state of balance or so-called. “Homeostasis”.
The effectiveness of PES has been demonstrated in a large number of studies, most notably in two clinical trials involving children with autism spectrum disorders. Study participants presented statistically significant improvements in:
- Emotional control
- Behavioral organization
- Hearing sensitivity and listening
Feel better
Feel more secure, calm, grounded and resilient.
Feel less irritable, anxious and overwhelmed.
Think better
Think more clearly, focused and creatively.
He thinks less hurriedly, disorganized and distractingly.
Connect better
Connect more openly, truly and completely.
Connect less defensively, remotely and oppositely.
Feed the nervous system safely and remotely.
One Health Protocol, Three Paths: Connectivity, Core, Balance
The complete PES program consists of three main work paths that are accessible through remote work and are facilitated by working with qualified and certified professionals.
Each PSC consists of different, filtered, unfiltered and soothing five-hour music playlists for children or adults.
The roads in PES are built to help the nervous system to better receive information, process it and respond to tasks and signals from the world around us. This helps us learn how, better and more often, to feel good and regulated when we face life’s challenges.
